    ANCIENT CITIES OF SRI LANKA. Although Sri Lanka is a small country in extent, it inherits a long history more that 2500 years. Anuradhapura is the first capital of Sri Lanka where a lot of ancient ruins can be seen. Ruins of very ancient buildings, places, pagodas and tank bear evidence to a prosperous era of our country. When we visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura we can really be proud of our forefathers and their skills and craftsmanship. Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Daambadeniya are some of the other historical place in the country. Aukana and Vijithapura are two other important places in the history of Sri Lanka. Vjithapura is believed to be the place where the king Dutugamunu fought with King Elara.                               IF I WIN A LOTTERY..... I I win a lottery, first of all I will collect the cheque at the lottery board with the help of my parents. Next I will deposit it into my BOC account. I hope to donate some amount of money to the poor people of my village. I expect to donate another portion of money  to the chief incumbent of our village temple to expedite the construction work of the pagoda which is being built these days.  I hope to invest some money in treasury bills according to advice of my parents. Then I would be able to get a large amount of money when I grow since the interest is also added annually. Further, I hope to help all my classmates and specially poor ones.              Dr.C.W.W.Kannangara. Dr.C.W.W.Kannangara is one of the most famous persons in the field of education in Sri Lanka. He is an eminent educationist who made a lot of changes in the prevailing education system of the country.  He was born on 13th of October in 1884. He got his primary education at Weslyan English High School and the secondary education at Richmond College, Galle. He was very clever at studies as well as sports during his childhood. Having a special day for children is very important because a special attention is paid to children on this day. At the same time ,  it is aimed al solving problems related to them on this day.
