🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬 🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬 🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬 🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬🌈🌴🐬 The name of my country is Sri Lanka. It is a small island. It is situated in the Indian ocean. My country is cold as the pearl of the Indian ocean. In the past my country was name as the " granary of the east ". My country has a long history more than two thousand five hundred years. It means my country has a glorious history. The history says that during the regime of the great king Parackramabahu we exported rise to other country.
The present president of my country is Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksha. The prime minister of my country is Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha. My country has a democratic ruling system. The parliament of my country consists of two two five members. We can see the great government in my country now. When we talk about Sri Lanka , we can't forget a special thing in my country. Which is the nature beauty. I proudly say that my country is rich in beauty. Mahaweli is the longest river in my country. Not only that my country has another one hundred and twenty rivers. Piduruthalagala is the highest mountain and the Samanala, the Namunukula, and Kirigalpoththa are other high mountains.
My country have several waterfalls. Some of them are Bambarakanda, Dunhida, Rawana, Diyaluma etc. The highest waterfall is Bambarakanda, which is 116 m. We can see tea states, rubber states and coconut states in my country. We can see stretch of paddy fields through out the country. There is a fantastic beach around the country. There are four main communities in my country. They are the Sinhalese , Tamils , Moors and Burger. The Sinhalese are the majority of the population. They represents 74 percent of the population. The Tamils are 18 percent of the population. The Muslims are 7.5 percent of the population. The rest consist of Burger and Male. Happy to say that my country has four main religions in the world. They are Buddhism , Hinduism , Islam and Christianity.
Sri Lanka is famous for Cricket. We won the world cup in 1996 and 2014. Our world class cricketers are Arawinda Silva , Kumara Sangakkara , Sanath Jayasooriya and Muththaiya Muralidaran. We have world class athletes at like Susantika Jayasinghe , Damayanti Darsha etc. In the past my country was by king. I would like to mention some names as honour the gerat king Parackramabahu , king Dutugamunu , king Dathusena etc. Unfortunatly , we were ruled by three foreign nations such as the Porgutties , the Duch and the British people from fifteen five to ninteen fourty eight. Fortunatly , we gained independense , in 1948. See is then my country is ruled by our leaders.
The people of my country are hospitable. They help each other. My country is Sri Lanka. So , I love my country forever and ever. May my country develop day by day. Long live Sri Lanka 💓🙏😊.
